For the first time since he shot to stardom with hits like ‘Fire’ and ‘Darling’, Majozi will make his long-awaited appearance in Stellenbosch.
On Saturday 26 August the Cape Town-based indie artist will share the stage of Aandklas with two of the most talked-about alt rock acts of the season, BRYNN and Hezron Chetty.
“We can’t wait for this event,” said BRYNN front man, Jules Terea. “We love sharing the stage with such passionate and talented local artists and we think it’s going to be one of the greatest musical events this town has seen all year.”
Majozi released his debut EP Marvelous Light in 2013, before signing to Universal Music South Africa in 2014. Since then, he’s taken the local music scene by storm, playing sold-out shows and quickly building a loyal following all over the country.
The 5-piece BRYNN is Cape Town’s latest offering to the melodic rock scene and has already been booked to play at a number of the country’s largest music festivals this coming season. One of their members, the phenomenal violinist Hezron Chetty, will close the evening with his three-piece band.
“The perfect line-up for the perfect party,” said Marcus Oosthuizen of Aandklas. “This is such an exciting way to end off winter and to usher in the new semester.”
Here’s the best part: you can win one of five double-tickets to the show. All you need to do is share the event on Facebook and tag your friends.
Winners will be announced on Monday 21 August.
