The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is an annual song contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena. ISC is designed to nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels and promote excellence in the art of songwriting. Submissions are judged on creativity, originality, lyrics, melody, arrangement and overall likeability. Previous winners include Bastille and Vance Joy, who says: "It is such an honour to win this songwriting prize. Writing songs is what gives me a feeling of purpose, and I'm proud to receive this award."
Apart from industry professionals, the prestigious panel of judges includes artists such as Tom Waits, Lorde, Bastille, Ziggy Marley and more.
“In addition to great prizes, ISC offers the unique opportunity to have your music heard by the most impressive group of judges from a variety of industry backgrounds in any songwriting competition. This makes ISC the songwriting competition to take note of.” – The New York Times

“I am so overwhelmingly excited about being a finalist in this amazing competition! It is an honour and privilege to be a part of. This song of ours 'Avery' has always been so special to me, as it holds fragments of past memories and experiences as well as good hopes and dreams for the future. For now, we can only hang on for the ride and see where it may take us. Thank you to all of those involved in this competition. Well done to all the fellow artists!” – Sheldon Sham (Saxophonist)
What makes it even more exciting, is that it has not been released as a single yet… After the success of their first-ever love song, ‘Feet”, Rubber Duc decided to follow it with the collaboration “One Move Away’ and the up-tempo ‘Twist’. Perhaps love songs are their thing after all?
