zeitgeist zero ghosts of victory shoot cd review

ghost of victory zeitgeist zeroIt’s been ages since I last reviewed an international band. One of our biggest supporters at Underground Press and one of my favorite bands. ZEITGEIST ZERO has never once disappointed me. ZEITGEIST ZERO is a female fronted band, surviving more than 10 years.

Described as “Alt-wave rock and eerie macabre pop, fusing sultry female vocals with dark, twisted electronics and a determined attitude.” [sic]

An electro-goth band with an attitude is how I would describe them. Theresa Dead, the enigmatic lead singer provides strong vocals and an energetic presence both on stage and in the studio.

'Ghost of Victory' was entirely funded via an indieGoGo campaign which raised over 4k from their die hard fans.

Starting with ‘Domestic Blitz’, this album leads you on a dystopian flavored journey, with female vocals complimenting each song. Each song that follows leads you on a journey of catastrophic, melancholic lust for more.

‘Dust and Bone’ has a touch of burlesque added to the mix and straight after that, throws you into the dark side just to show you their true diversity.

This album has all the traits of powerful guitar riffs and strong bass lines and an electronic feel  that was made so popular by bands such as Sisters of Mercy, Clan of Xymox and The Chameleons.

This is certainly an album worth getting your hands on. So don't wait too long.
