Alexandra May Releases Debut Single - AMAZING

The David Gresham Record Company is proud to announce the release of the debut single of teenage pop sensation ALEXANDRA MAY, entitled AMAZING.

Alexandra has been wowing the South African public since the age of 11 in a number of high-profile theatre productions, dedicating her heart and soul to the arts at a very young age. She describes Amazing as being a fun, bubbly pop song with catchy hooks, retro elements, and a positive message.

Underground Press asked her a couple of questions about her latest release.

You have just released your debut single - what is the song about?

Amazing is about meeting that special person and knowing in your heart & soul that they are absolutely amazing. It's about knowing yourself and what you want in a person, and telling that person how you feel about them. I am in love with this song coz of the awesome vibe but also because I hope that one day I will meet that special person - and I think anyone can relate to that.

Is it #Amazing?

I think the song is #Amazing!!!  ….because of the awesome team at David Gresham Records - Ziggy my producer, David, Andrew, Kyle, & everyone else at DGR.  My #Amazing family & friends. With their help, love & support I believe this song became #Amazing! They say it takes a village to raise a child.  I say it takes a team to make #AMAZING.

What was the inspiration behind the song and how would you describe your sound?

I listen to different types of music, but inspiration for the song basically came from being young and wanting to enjoy life.  I love the message of the song because it's something that I hope to one day find.  The sound comes from my love of happy, pop music mixed with my love of the retro sound too!

What can we look forward to from you in the next few months?

After Amazing, I will be releasing my EP!  It’s so exciting as I’ve been recording many songs and I can’t wait to share my soul and passion.
