One Night in Cape Town has been known not to be enough

With the recent announcement of the Kongos ONICT event at Hillcrest Quarry, August Burns Red (US) get their own night in Cape Town at The Assembly.

10 August 2016 will see August Burns Red taking the Mother City out for a night she will never forget. Hilltop Live hosts One Night in Cape Town with August Burns Red & more at The Assembly, mere days after their performance at OppiKoppi. They are set to be burning hotter than ever before, covered in the scarlet mist of Northam and ready to show Cape Town what they are made of.

Since their formation in 2003, from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, they have evolved into one of the biggest names worldwide in the modern metal scene, continually growing and connecting fiercely with a colossal legion of fans. August Burns Red has spent years skillfully crafting a balance between a ferociously heavy sound with empowering lyrical content, while showcasing a rich surplus of inventive guitar riffs, blistering solos, and dynamic drumming. With a solid collection of 5 previous albums, Thrill Seeker (2005), Messengers (2007), Constellations (2009), Leveler (2011), the band's latest release Rescue & Restore (2013) rocketed to the top of the Billboard charts - debuting at #9 on the Billboard Top 200.

After being announced to play OppiKoppi, Capetonians have been chomping at the bit for information around a ONICT event for August Burns Red, and finally Cape town gets their chance to see modern metal at its finest at one of the iconic venues in Cape Town. With local support still to be added to this show, it can only get better from here.

Mumford and it's Gone: 1 minute and 22 seconds

That is how long it took for all the tickets in the country to SELL OUT for the Mumford & Sons event.
Your brain can fathom how long 1 minute and 22 seconds is, but can you wrap your brain around the idea that the prices where originally R499 (unreserved), and they are being sold on other sites for R1900 (unreserved)?

Now, I myself am a solopreneur, and I understand what it means to 'capitalise on a situation'. This, however, is just ludicrous.
The general public cannot afford these prices, especially not the R4202 one that Viagogo.com is advertising for tickets in Durban.

So, before you go and give your credit card details in order to pay for these crazy tickets, here are some of the facts I have gathered when speaking to the local partners working with Hilltop LIVE on this event;
The 5000 tickets that where allocated to Durban were SOLD OUT. This includes Pretoria, Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Computicket, through all their various outlets, where the only valid seller of these tickets. The tickets selling online for anything other than the R499 ones, are 3rd party and can not be guaranteed has valid, and the event coordinators do not encourage anyone to buy them.

For those of you who where unable to grab yourself a ticket, it has been confirmed that there will be a release of an additional number of tickets early next week, so get your refresh button ready!

There is also a discussion of a second show in Durban. So there is hope for some of you!
