Cape Town, based South African alternative rock band BRYNN are back in full force with the single fans have been waiting for since the release of their debut album, Querencia, in early 2018. I Came Here with Nothing is an emotive, powerful and hugely catchy anthem with lyrics that are so honest it hurts. Tackling the strength and humility it takes to fail, fall and pick yourself up again as you fight to follow your passions in a modern world.
'I Came Here with Nothing' is one of the first tracks we wrote after our album came out early last year. It came together so quickly and before we knew it, we were playing it live at festivals. Every time we played it people went crazy. It got to a point where people were coming up to us after nearly every show and asking us where they can find it. So, we hit the studio and workshopped the track until it was ready to go out into the world.” Say’s vocalist and guitarist Jules Terea. He adds, “It’s the first in a whole new body of work we’re creating. And we are so happy with the direction we’re moving in”

BRYNN burst onto the Cape Town music scene in 2017 and already have a fiercely loyal fanbase and are attracting diverse crowds to every show they play. They've played main stage slots at the top festivals around the country, such as OppiKoppi, Up the Creek, Smoking Dragon, River Republic, CT Folk & Acoustic Music Festival at Kirstenbosch Gardens and Rocking the Daisies.
In February 2018, BRYNN were handpicked by international rock legends, Incubus, to open for them at their Cape Town show during their South African tour. Immediately after this BRYNN embarked on a nationwide tour for their debut album "Querencia". Their official launch event was hosted at The Mercury Live in Cape Town, featuring some of South Africa's finest acts such as Southern Wild, Crimson House and Hezron Chetty & The ZugZwang. Since its release, Querencia has received glowing reviews from newspapers, critics and blogs across the country.
