South African darling MAJOZI will be performing at The Atterbury Theatre this March. Known for his radio hits such as Fire, Darling and most recently Waiting and Somebody, MAJOZI has climbed deep into the hearts of fans across the country.
With his sincere and heartfelt songs that artfully portray his uplifting perspective on the world around him, he plays the guitar, keys and drums and draws inspiration from his faith and the world around him.
He released his sophomore, self-titled album through Universal Music South Africa in 2018. Wanting to do something different this time around, most of the songs started out on piano and progressed from there. Featuring themes of superheroes, faith, vulnerability and insecurity, the content of the songs reflects where MAJOZI was emotionally whilst writing them, as well as where he wanted to be. Putting fear aside and pushing himself creatively, MAJOZI’s latest record is a Pop Soul offering into which he poured his heart and emotions.
MAJOZI has performed on stages across South Africa and abroad, performing for thousands of people on a visit to Amsterdam with local music greats such as Francois van Coke and Die Heuwels Fantasties, and shows like Liefde By Die Dam and Francois Van Coke & Vriende.
Performing with MAJOZI on the night is ASTON WYLIE, who just released his brand new single, entitled ‘Broken and Beautiful’. The single comes after the release of his previous single, ‘Howling’ in 2018. Constantly developing and changing as a songwriter and performer, ASTON has pushed himself creatively with his new offering - an emotive, raw, current and uplifting song.
