Durban-based musician and newcomer, Bard, drops his brand new single “Bad Feeling” across all digital platforms today.

Watch the lyric video for “Bad Feeling” HERE.

'Bad Feeling' is the follow-up single to his debut 'With You', (below!) and sees Bard team up once again with producer Ewald Jansen van Rensburg from renowned SA band MONARK. This time they’ve created a track with a slightly more confrontational approach and an “edge of the seat” listening experience. The intro for “Bad Feeling” kicks in with the strong chorus hook and quickly sets the mood for the entire song. The vocals are somewhat distorted but work brilliantly with the fast-paced bass and the antagonising treble sounds that chant against an ascending electric guitar, building suspense that leads into the chorus.

The theme for 'Bad Feeling' is one that most can relate to, especially in a society that is filled with pressure and demands. Bard explains, saying: “’Bad Feeling’ is about finding and making peace with who you are in the face of societal pressure to conform. It’s about being unapologetically yourself and not caring about what others say or think about you.”

The single gives a voice to the downtrodden and oppressed. “We often attempt to conform or change ourselves to make others happy - sometimes to the point that it affects our psychological and mental health because we know that the things we sometimes do in this regard, is damaging to our character. This song is about breaking free from trying to always please others and to stay true to who you are,” and Bard is breaking free with 'Bad Feeling'.

Bard is rising into his own space and has released a single that once again will make fans stand up and notice this incredible talent.
