Meg Lawrenson Releases New Single, 'Use My Body'

By / News / Friday, 29 May 2020 08:47

Today alt-pop singer-songwriter, Meg Lawrenson reveals her new single, ‘Use My Body’.

Her natural storytelling ability captures the sad tale that follows the first-person narrative of settling for a physical relationship, whilst desperately wanting something more emotional and substantial.

This is ultimately a sad song,” explains Meg, "It’s disguised in a happy sounding, sparkly track, but it is a sad song.” She continues, “This song is really fun, but has a deep subject matter underneath it all.”

When asked about her song, Lawrenson writes. “I hope the song uplifts people. I hope they will not settle for anything less than they deserve. I hope people who listen can realise how sad it is, to not appreciate your body as you should.”
