MTN Bushfire is looking for dynamic visual artists to bring the various themes under the festival’s #BRINGYOURFIRE mandate to life!

Artists get to display their creativity and artistically amplify the pertinent social issues highlighted in the Bring Your Fire Zone through murals that will be painted throughout the entire festival. We are looking for experienced artists who can think on their feet and create quality work under pressure.

The Bring Your Fire Zone is an interactive and creative space, located at the very heart of the main festival arena. This space actively encourages participation in responsible initiatives and promotes advocacy in an interactive environment.

A physical manifestation of the festival’s call to action for positive social change, the Bring Your Fire Zone encourages and normalizes conversations around real and relatable issues such as Minority Rights & Gender Diversity, Environmental Sustainability, Education, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Sustainable Development, Equality & Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Child Social Protection.

Within the Zone, various partners and festival goers actively engage with this theme to make their personal contribution towards collectively creating a powerful wave of social inclusion and the spirit tolerance that continue to reverberate beyond the festival weekend. This year we shine a light on our #GREENYOURFIRE campaign our pledge to eliminate single-use plastics throughout the festival. Therefore, artists are also encouraged to use their art to augment the urgent need for environmental consciousness.

Interested and qualified artists can apply by sending their portfolio to Notsile Nkambule at This email address is being protected from spambots.
