Popular new Afrikaans artist Corné Pretorius has been winning over many fans since the release of his 2020 debut songs and radio hits 'Vuur en Vlam', 'Vergewe My' and 'Halfvol.' Early in 2021, he teamed up with Die Heuwels Fantasties and Ampie to create the ultimate summer-braai hit titled 'Biertjies.' Fans love the tune and Pretorius subsequently asked both Die Heuwels and Ampie if they will be keen to create and launch a beer with him to celebrate the song. He says: “We are super proud of our BIERTJIES beer! Join us on the 19th of February at Saggy Stone to be among the first that tastes this new unique brew.”
Pierre Greeff from Die Heuwels Fantasties says that they will be performing hits from their 8 album releases, as well as a surprise tune or two. We will also be doing 'Biertjies' with Corné ad Ampie and 'Plekkie in die Son' with Early B. Looking forward to seeing you there!”

The radio hit “Biertjies” was recorded at Sunset Recording Studios in Stellenbosch. Pretorius says that the idea was to organize a family day with all involved and to record “Biertjies” while also relaxing and having a braai with the spectacular scenery at Sunset Studios. The video of the single consists of the footage that was taken on this unforgettable day.
BIERTJIES beer will also be available at the Top Wine Roots Laailou Music Festival. It will be held from 18 to 20 March at Die Bergrivieroord in Paarl. More information at laailoufees.co.za
