Tickets to Splashy Fen To Go on Sale Monday

By Press Release / Off The Press / Friday, 20 September 2019 10:47

The Splashy Blues is a common feeling experienced by most South African’s the day after the Easter long weekend. There are two potential causes. 1… You had to come home after a magical 4-days in the rolling foothills of the Drakensberg mountains where you watched the sunrise and set with friends, old and new, listening to the best music, enjoying the best company and living your best life. Or  2... You didn’t get the chance to make it to Splashy Fen at all.

Fear, not happy campers, there is good news for you all. Preparations for #SPLASHY2020 are well underway and the Splashy team are super excited to announce that you’ll soon be able to secure your very own spot at the iconic music festival when tickets go on sale next week.

With sold-out festivals in 2019 and 2018, the Splashy Fen farm has comfortably been able to accommodate a large number of festival-goers on site. Event organisers Impi Concept Events have been planning the next edition of the Splashy Fen Music Festival for months and a large part of this preparation is to ensure that ‘person 1’ has the same experience on site as ‘person 8999’, and it is for this reason that the number of online tickets to Splashy Fen is limited to 9000.

“While bigger and better seems to be our annual promise,” says Media and PR Manager for Splashy Fen, Kendall Snyman. “We believe that bigger doesn’t always mean larger. We’ve got big plans for 2020 and are all really excited to find new ways of making the Splashy Fen experience one that offers festival attendees more. More of a music selection, more camping options, more food choices, activities and entertainment on site… and more ways to leave a footprint that isn’t a carbon one.”

For the team behind the organisation of South Africa’s friendliest festival, the mission is simple: Create and maintain a Splashy Fen where attendees feel safe – with visible and effective security measures; have a blast – with world-class music, entertainment and family activities; and get great value for money – with the most affordable 4-day festival pass in South Africa.

The first batch of Splashy Fen tickets will go on sale this Monday the 23rd of September at 9h00. Fans who bought a ticket directly from the Splashy Fen website for the 2019 festival are by default, exclusive members of the Splashy Fen Otter Club, and will receive a private email with a unique link, directing them to purchase 2 Otter Club tickets.

EARLY BIRD TICKETS: Those who are not Otter Club members will be able to purchase their tickets as soon as Early Bird ticket sales open on Thursday the 26th of September. These are limited to 1000 tickets ONLY. Thereafter, General Admission Phase One tickets will be available for R875, and R920 for General Admission Phase Two – all of which includes your full 4-day festival pass to all stages and activities on site.

Splashy Fen 2020 will take place over the traditional Easter long-weekend from the 9th to the 13th of April 2020. The line-up for #SPLASHY2002 will be announced in February but fans can look forward to over 300 acts entertaining across 5 unique stages for the full 4 days.
