Abisha Uhl’s Latest Track ‘Love Isn’t’, is as irresistible as it is powerful

Bahrain born, US-based songstress Abisha Uhl’s latest release ‘Love Isn’t’ is a relentless pop-punk anthem that picks you up with its ferocity and carries you with its fervour.

The ethereal intro is as relaxed as it gets because the first verse comes in like a sonic tsunami and effortlessly takes control of you. The chorus only intensifies this feeling and before long, if you haven’t already, you’ll give yourself up to the song completely.

The band manages to be upbeat while still maintaining a degree of groundedness keeping the song from becoming juvenile while Abisha Uhl’s vocals ride the wave with maturity and precision. There’s honesty and controlled power in her voice as she narrates her “walk with the ghost of a shadow that could talk,” which tells her about the complexities of love and mortality.

Passion, power, and top-drawer musical sensibilities set this song apart from others in a genre that often reeks of novelty and thrives off of nostalgia.
