Hungarian electronica act Belau’s video for their newest single ‘Risk It All’ is a captivating journey through some of Europe’s most beautiful places.
Considering the kind of year we’ve had I’m sure the urge to give everything up in pursuit our most ambitious dreams is one that’s been felt by many, and ‘Risk It All’ does little to discourage that. With British soul singer Amahla bringing the lyrics to life Belau take an honest but optimistic look at taking a life-changing risk.
Accompanying that is a video that could so easily double as a tourism advertisement for Europe. Shot in places somewhat off the beaten path, including the incredible Muralla Roja in the Spanish town of Calp, it stokes the wanderlust fires with the most beautiful scenery, every shot as immense as the next.
If we’re going to nit-pick I would say that the performance of our protagonist could be a bit more three-dimensional but, in all honesty, he’s merely playing a supporting role to all of the beautiful scenery around him.
The video for ‘Risk It All’ is possibly the most visually captivating thing I’ve seen all year, not just because of the locations chosen but because of the awe-inspiring cinematography which gives every single shot a wow-factor.
