The Medicine Dolls’ video for their latest single ‘Danger! Danger! Disco!’ is a dirty fever dream bursting with conflicting energies.

Taken from the band’s much anticipated upcoming debut full-length album Filth and Wisdom, which comes out on the 2nd of October, Danger! Danger! Disco! is a snare-driven, surf-rock fuelled number filled with the balls-to-the-walls energy that defines The Medicine Dolls.

In the video the band seem to be stuck in some kind of self-created limbo, finding ways to keep themselves busy as visuals from a party long-gone wash over them and their environment. The tension is palpable as the trio try and break through their ennui, like characters in a substance-addled absurdist play.

Over the last few years, The Medicine Dolls have been hard at work building a brand around subversion and frustration and the video for ‘Danger! Danger! Disco!’ solidifies that image, capturing the boredom and bitterness that have defined rock ‘n’ roll since its inception.
