Most Sunday’s are for chilling.

Most Sunday’s… except for Sunday the 29th of March; when Durban fans will be treated to a colourfully energetic performance by three larger than life female stars: the award-winning Sho Madjozi, and Durban’s very own Shekinah and Nipho Hurd.

UPDATE: Postponed, more details here!

Fans can expect a number of entertaining performances on Sunday the 29th of March, as the Old Mutual Music at the Lake series, together with East Coast Radio, have paired up 3 great acts for another afternoon of jiving, grooving and all-round hot entertainment.

Set in the lush Durban Botanic Gardens, surrounded by a canopy of trees and wildlife, the charismatic Sho Madjozi will bring her energetic spirit to 3 000 eager Durbanites. She will be supported by the equally captivating Shekinah, Durban’s very own superstar, as well as local Durban singing sensation Nipho Hurd.

Writer, rapper and style statement-maker, Sho Madjozi has lived and travelled extensively throughout Africa; including Limpopo, Tanzania and Senegal. As a result, she has been exposed to a myriad of cultures, fashion and music, which have helped her to craft a sound that is uniquely her own. One that fans are loving.

Born and bred Durbanite Shekinah is a pop/R&B vocalist and songwriter. After performing in a number of musicals during her childhood years, Shekinah kickstarted her journey to stardom when competing in Idols South Africa – where she went on to the Top 32 contestants in the 7th season, and then the Top 6 contestants in the 8th season of the show. With a handful of awards and award nominations under her belt, Shekinah is clearly destined for great things. And as a local Durban star, fans are looking forward to seeing her perform for the very first time at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake series.
