Cape Town, 28 November 2025: Cavendish Square has officially ushered in the holiday season with A Festive Affair, a celebration that captures the charm, warmth and generosity of this special time of year. The centre has been beautifully dressed for the occasion, with traditional trees, twinkling lights and elegant touches that bring a sense of nostalgia and joy to shoppers.

The Sound of the Reason

Nothing says Christmas quite like live music, and this year, Cavendish Square will be filled with it. On Monday, 1 December at 17h00, the Wynberg Boys High School pipe and concert band will join the Philharmonia Choir for a heartwarming performance in the Dreyer Street market area.

The Philharmonia Choir will return to Cavendish Square later in the month for more uplifting performances on Tuesday, 16 December at 12h00, Friday 19 December at 17h30, and Tuesday 23 December at 17h00, all in the Centre Court, filling the air with familiar Christmas and festive melodies around the Christmas tree!

Moments of Giving and Connection

The Cavendish Square, first floor, will also be a bustling area of festive activities this holiday. Photos and a chance to share their Christmas wishes, adding a touch of magic for younger visitors. Between 16 and 24 December, 10h00 – 18h00 daily, shoppers can stop by the gift-wrapping station, where proceeds will go towards the Amy Foundation. It’s a simple way to give back while ticking one important thing off the festive to-do list.
