Johannesburg, 28 April 2026:  Johannesburg’s Bedford Centre will once again bring its popular Sunset Market to life on Friday, 8 May, from 4 pm to 10 pm. Working alongside The Urban Markets, the event embraces the change in season, blending food, creativity and local craftsmanship into an autumn-inspired experience that evolves as the sun sets.

A Curated Mix of Food and Local Finds

With more than 100 stalls, the market will feature artisanal traders offering a delectable range of food and handcrafted treasures. Visitors will be able to move between street-style bites, sweet treats and considered pieces that are filled with local creativity. The experience will centre on discovery, with each stall offering something distinct and many of the products not available in commercial stores.

Bedford After Hours

Hosted in the upper car park, the Sunset Market will once again reshape the space into an evening destination. As the light fades, the atmosphere will shift, marked by the glow of market lighting and a steady flow of visitors. The Urban Markets’ approach to curation will continue to guide the experience, bringing together a diverse yet cohesive mix of traders that gives the market its character.
