[South Africa - 22 January 2024] American Authors first toured South Africa back in 2015 and are excited to return this March, which also includes a performance at Splashy Fen festival in KZN!

Zac Barnett, lead vocalist and guitarist of American Authors, is eager for their return to SA. "Our last trip to South Africa was a life-changing experience - from surfing Muizenberg, to swimming with sharks, to creating new friendships & playing incredible shows for wonderful people. For this trip it’s only natural we go even bigger & make more memories that last forever."

American Authors, consisting of Zac Barnett (vocals/guitar), Dave Rublin (bass), and Matt Sanchez (drums), formed in 2006 at Berklee College of Music in Boston. After relocating to Brooklyn, the band's breakout single 'Best Day of My Life' became a global phenomenon, featured in over 600 movie trailers, TV shows, commercials, and as the theme song for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Following the success of their chart-topping debut album, “Oh, What a Life”, the band has achieved numerous milestones, including multi-platinum singles, awards show appearances, and global tours with renowned artists.

The band's impressive journey includes gold and triple-platinum certifications, billion-stream milestones, and top-charting hits like 'Go Big or Go Home'. Their latest endeavours include the critically acclaimed album Seasons (2019) and the Counting Down EP, released during the 2020 pandemic.

2021 and 2022 showcased American Authors in notable collaborations and unique cover renditions, leading up to their highly anticipated new album, slated for early 2023.

Lead singer Zac Barnett expresses the band's unwavering commitment to their musical evolution: "We've never been afraid to explore new musical genres but we always try to maintain a message of hope in our music."

Don't miss this opportunity to witness American Authors' energetic and genre-defying performance.
