South Africa’s powerhouse musical duo, Ferg ’n Son, hits the Eastern and Western Cape this December with their high-voltage 'It’s in the Blood' tour! Ferg `n Son is made up of: Fergie Ferguson, the legendary original voice behind the smash 80s hit “Man on the Moon” with the iconic band Ballyhoo, and his son, Michael Ferguson, a multi-talented guitarist and vocalist.

Blending Pop, Rock, Country, and timeless Classics, this genre-crossing duo delivers an unforgettable live experience that keeps audiences coming back for more. Together, their musical chemistry is undeniable. Their performances fuse soulful melodies, crowd-favourite covers, and infectious energy that has captured the hearts of fans around the world.

Now, they are bringing that same electric energy home with a local coastal summer tour. Expect high-energy shows, a repertoire full of hits, and a musical journey that transcends generations and genres.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Fergie started his musical journey at a young age, playing guitar and singing in various show bands. On turning pro at just 18 years old, he took a contract and came out to South Africa to perform with an Irish Show Band in the early 1970s. He went on to become a founding member of the supergroup ‘’Ballyhoo’’ - a name synonymous with success in the South African music industry. The super hit single “Man on the Moon” took them to the top of the charts in 1981. Ballyhoo dominated the SA Music Scene and recorded four original studio albums, which awarded them six SARI Awards, and one of which went platinum and earned them a place among the greatest rock ‘n roll acts of all time in the country. Fergie enjoyed an illustrious career with Ballyhoo, with performances all over Africa, spanning over 35 years.

All the while, Fergie watched as his talented son, Michael Ferguson, grew into his roots as a successful musician and in 2024, they joined forces and founded their band ‘’Ferg ‘n Son.’’ Within a space of nine months, Ferg ‘n Son have already performed across the country and also played in Europe in July. They are now preparing for the upcoming ‘’It’s in the Blood’’ South African Tour. Fergie resides in the North-West Province and runs a studio out of Hartbeespoort Dam as a writer & Music Producer.

Michael, who currently lives in Austria, has just released a brand new single titled “A Million & One.” South African radio stations will be adding the catchy single to playlists in November. Of his upcoming arrival in SA for the tour, Michael says: “I grew up watching my Dad (Ballyhoo) performing, and I was always in awe. At 8 years old, I got up on stage at a show to sing with them because I wanted to be a part of it. I never thought that all these years later, we would be doing these dream-duo shows together. It is such an honor not only as his son, but as a performer, to play next to my Father - the one who gave me music. We’ve been performing together now for about nine months, and I can`t wait to share this incredible musical bond to audiences across SA.’’

Fergie says, “It is going to be great to be on the road with my son. We are excited to meet you all at these great venues. A special thank you to our sponsor ChainEX for making the extent of this tour possible.”

Don’t miss your chance to see Ferg ’n Son live - a show that blends nostalgia, heart, and pure rock ‘n roll fire. This is more than a concert. It’s a celebration. Be there!
