The theme of ‘Oh Sister’ explores times of struggle, hardship, and the unbreakable bonds between siblings whose helping hands introduce hints of hope in amongst melancholy.
Inspired by Reid’s three older sisters and the support that they have offered each other throughout many trials and tribulations.
‘Oh Sister’ was originally formed as a simple ballad; however, the production powers of James Grunwell transformed the piece into something far more powerful.
Grunwell and Reid met over Instagram and had a mutual wish to collaborate in the musical realm – ‘Oh Sister’ is the result of their collaboration through the airwaves.
To date, Reid has released three albums, Secondary Sight (July 2019), Celtic Commotion (May 2020) – and her most recent release, Robust Rebellion (Jul 2021) which has received a vast amount of support from fans, overseas radio stations and music blogs alike.
Texx and the City described Robust Rebellion as "... a masterclass in detailed songwriting" In addition to her solo projects, Reid has taken part in many collaborations and even gained the opportunity to open for Jesse Clegg at one of his performances.
