South Africa's premier death metal force The Fallen Prophets have released their anticipated new EP Primordial Instinct on all major platforms. Formed in 2013 in Cape Town, The Fallen Prophets have carved their reputation through powerful soundscapes and an unwavering dedication to the intense roots of Death Metal. Their latest release stands as a testament to their evolution, blending dark, aggressive themes with unexpected influences from Classical and Baroque music.

Primordial Instinct is a bold new chapter for the band, showcasing sophisticated musical elements that draw on classical and neo-classical complexity. Tracks like ‘Beneath The Veil Of Flesh’ highlight this fusion with Baroque guitar intros, intricate arpeggiated solos, and diminished runs, all while delivering the relentless riffs, tremolo picking, and blast beats that are quintessential to Death Metal. The EP’s unique sound promises an immersive experience for both die-hard fans and newcomers alike.

A Prequel to Darkness

Primordial Instinct acts as a prequel to Perpetual Damnation’. The Fallen Prophets' previous album. The EP delves into the dark origins of the ominous figure seen on their cover art, exploring a haunting backstory of otherworldly offerings and summoning rituals. Each track deepens the story, pulling listeners into the abyss with lyrics and musical themes that amplify the EP's atmospheric narrative.

The first single, ‘Beneath The Veil of Flesh’, was released in early October along with an accompanying music video, giving a glimpse into the EP's powerful blend of musical genres and showcasing the intricate layering and thematic sophistication that defines Primordial Instinct.
