Johannesburg, 2 April 2025: Plant and nature lovers in Johannesburg have a lot to look forward to this autumn, as Bedford Shopping Centre in Johannesburg will be hosting the popular Bedford Succulent and Orchid Show on Saturday, 12 April and Sunday, 13 April 2025. The event is a collaboration between the centre, the Johannesburg Succulent Society, and the Witwatersrand Orchid Society.

A celebration of succulent life

This much-anticipated show is a celebration of the incredible universe of cacti and succulents, offering plant enthusiasts and nature lovers an opportunity to marvel at exquisite displays and a chance to purchase unique cacti, succulents and orchids directly from suppliers.

The festival will cater for both plant enthusiasts and those just starting their green thumb journeys. Visitors can look forward to stunning displays of various species, showcasing the beauty and diversity of these remarkable plants. Local suppliers will exhibit their collections, allowing visitors to expand their collection with unique finds and collectors the chance to find rare gems.

Easy, accessible and free to attend

The Bedford Succulent and Orchid Show will be open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, 12 April and from 09:00 to 15:00 on Sunday, 13 April, providing ample time for visitors to explore, learn, and shop. Entrance is free for all visitors, making it an accessible and enjoyable outing for plant lovers of all ages. Adding to the convenience, Bedford now offers ticketless parking, making it easier for visitors to access the event. Shoppers can easily pay by entering their vehicle registration number at the pay station or using the tap-and-go option for a seamless experience.
