Volume 1 debuts on November 26, followed by Volume 2 on Christmas Day, and the Finale on New Year’s Eve, each premiere at 02:00, 1 November 2025 (SAST).

This final season promises not only the resolution of the battle against Vecna but also a deeper exploration of its heroes’ resilience, loss, and unbreakable unity. Eleven, portrayed by Millie Bobby Brown, returns in a “warrior state,” driven solely by her mission to protect her chosen family. The stakes have never been higher — or more personal.

Ross and Matt Duffer describe this as the most unrelenting season yet — no quiet build-up, no false sense of normalcy. “This season starts a little bit in chaos because our heroes ultimately lost at the end of Season 4,” says Ross Duffer. Matt adds, “Nothing in Hawkins is normal anymore. Their movement is restricted, and there are Big Brother cameras everywhere.”

Executive Producer and Director Shawn Levy teases “next level” action and visual effects while assuring fans that the series’ emotional core remains intact. “Even as the storytelling becomes more epic, it's always anchored in these characters that we love,” he says.

Returning cast members include Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink, alongside an expanded ensemble featuring Linda Hamilton in a highly anticipated new role.

The Fall of 1987: Hawkins stands scarred by the opening of the Rifts. Vecna has vanished, the government has locked down the town, and Eleven is once again in hiding. As the anniversary of Will Byers’ disappearance looms, a chilling familiarity settles over Hawkins. One last time, the party must stand united.
