In a scene often haunted by repetition, Chaos Bleak stand apart — unyielding, defiant, and sonically transcendent. The UK-based gothic collective, fronted by Trevor Bamford of Midnight Configuration, are preparing to deliver their most ambitious album to date: Assassins of Silence, set for release on 19 December 2025 through Seventh Hell Recordings.
Formed in 2019, Chaos Bleak quickly evolved into a supergroup of the underground, merging members from Every New Dead Ghost, 13 Candles, Midnight Configuration, Death Party UK, Arcane Winter, and The Crimson Brigade. The result? A volatile fusion of post-punk grit, industrial tension, and otherworldly ambience that challenges the very architecture of modern gothic rock.
The new record traverses cosmic corridors and urban decay alike — from the brooding “UFO Over Aspley” and politically-charged “False Prophet” to the haunting melancholy of “Emerald” and “Absent Friends.” Lyrically, the album interrogates metaphysical unrest, the ruins of post-Thatcherite Britain, and the human search for meaning amid chaos.

As Trevor explains:
“My guitar has always been less about melody and more about energy — like a rocket engine crossed with a radio signal from another galaxy.”
With new member Nigel on keyboards, the band’s sound has expanded beyond the limits of traditional goth. The addition brings a cosmic depth and layered harmony that pushes Assassins of Silence into truly uncharted territory.
Fans can expect promo videos, digital streaming, and limited CD editions to follow, distributed via DMMG Records and Altar-Ego Music.
For a band that has already been called “Black Sabbath for the gothic generation,” Chaos Bleak’s next move may very well tear open the veil once more.
