It is PEDRO’s first official release since his last EP, ‘Lock Me Down’ in 2020, and the first of a series of upcoming single releases.

The single is based on a 2000’s movie Rom-Com theme of ‘Boy likes girl but she doesn’t like him back. They hook up, but she ain’t right.’ The single was written in 2022 and features a cinematic element of feeling sorry for the main character, combined with a happy energy and groove to which you want to shake your booty to. 

“I GAVE IT ALL AWAY revolves around the idea of liking someone who ‘has been around the block’. You really like this girl and she keeps going for the wrong cool kids, and you are not the cool kid. But you also fall for her for the wrong reasons, being her looks. She eventually goes for you, but it’s not meant to be. I’m sure that happens to everyone. Well, except the cool kids; they wouldn’t know what that is.” says PEDRO.

For I GAVE IT ALL AWAY, PEDRO used a different producer and worked with Dee Graff Productions, resulting in a slightly different sound than what fans are used to, but still featuring a catchy chorus and some African elements signature to his music. With the single being lyrically more story orientated, combined with a modern melody, it will appeal to older and younger audiences alike.
