The Dirty Skirts return with a new single, 'Bleeding Out'. The post-punk, indie rock track dances on the thin line between love and annihilation. It’s a love song… if your idea of love involves martinis garnished with eyeballs and winter coats made of your lover’s skin.

The track pulses with the ache of an unhealthy relationship dynamic: she feels everything (rage included), while he retreats into disconnection and withdrawal.

Drawing on the mythic fury of Kali, the goddess of destruction and rebirth, whose anger is at turns holy, frightening, protective and cleansing, Bleeding Out describes an arc where the couple are stuck in the push-pull of a painful relationship dynamic. Beneath the chaos, both seek love, connection and repair.

It began life as a series of biting riffs from guitarist David Moffatt, before the band built it out in remote collaboration. Produced by Josh Berry, Bleeding Out is as much an exorcism as it is an anthem.
