Smooth, soft and full of comforting sounds – Gia Mckay lends listeners a shoulder to lean on with her third single ‘Call Me’.

Equipped with rich vocals and encouraging lyrics, singer-songwriter Gia Mckay has released her third single ‘Call Me’ – a consoling pop ballad exploring themes of "connection and support in the good and bad times".

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Mckay has been singing and dancing from a young age. Her musical career kickstarted in 2020 with the appearance of a borrowed piano. Since then, she has released two singles; ‘I Won’t Ask Why’ (October, 2020) and ‘Movies’ (February, 2021) in addition to ‘Call Me’ – both of which greatly contribute to Mckay’s intimate, acoustic pop style.

‘Call Me’ is an enchanting combination of gentle melodic peaks and subtle rhythms that captivate listeners in a warm and comforting manner. Mckay’s rich vocals introduce a pull on the heartstrings – all the while assuring that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Though her musical pursuits have only just begun, it might be safe to say that Gia Mckay has built herself a strong foundation with the concept of ‘Call Me’ for the abundance of melodies yet to come.
