Cape Town, 21 July 2025Cavendish Square is heating up the winter chill with a bold celebration of food culture, launching its latest campaign, “Taste the Trend”, from 24 July to 14 August. Designed to captivate Capetonians' senses and taste buds, the campaign will highlight nearly 40 food and beverage outlets across the centre — all under one roof — transforming Cavendish into a culinary playground this winter.

A Creative Culinary Campaign Rooted in Food Culture

“Taste the Trend” introduces six food moods, from “toasty” meals delivering crispy comfort to “swicy” flavour explosions — clever combinations of sweet and spicy. Each theme reflects a growing appetite for bold, inventive and comforting food trends. These moods are brought to life through digital content, mall signage, and interactive social media moments, inviting shoppers to explore trending taste sensations.

South African content creator and well-known food personality Clement Pedro (Chef Clem) has joined the campaign to showcase his personal Cavendish favourites — curating shareable moments from the food court to sit-down hotspots.

From Loyalty To Lunch: Shoppers Reap the Rewards

Shoppers who spend R150 or more at any participating food outlet between 24 July and 14 August will enjoy free parking between 18h00 and 20h00 — simply present your receipt at the Concierge Desk (First Floor). To win spot prizes, customers are encouraged to snap their meals, tag @CavendishSquare and use #CSTasteTheTrend across Instagram and Facebook.

“Food is no longer a functional stop — it’s a destination experience,” says Centre Manager Faizah Behardien. “Taste the Trend is our invitation to the public to explore and rediscover the rich culinary diversity Cavendish Square offers — from quick cappuccinos and gourmet wraps to indulgent desserts and fusion favourites.”
