Johannesburg, 20 August 2025: Rugby fans have a reason to celebrate this Saturday, 23 August, as Melrose Arch transforms into a Springbok Fan Park for the Rugby Championship Test between South Africa and Australia. Supporters can gather on the Piazza’s open-air space to watch the game live on the big screen, or soak in the atmosphere from the terraces of nearby restaurants, including The Grillhouse, Mezepoli, Primi, and Tashas.

Kickoff is at 5:10 PM for the second Test of the 2025 Rugby Championship, a premier competition featuring South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina. The Springboks enter as reigning Rugby Championship and World Cup champions, while Australia brings a strengthened squad including stars Nic White, Rob Valetini, Will Skelton, and Taniela Tupou.

Seating on the Piazza is complimentary and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with doors opening at 4 PM. For those who prefer to enjoy the game with a meal, restaurant terraces offer full-screen views, and table bookings are recommended.

Melrose Arch’s pedestrian-friendly precinct, wide dining options, and convenient Parket parking make it a prime destination for match day. With a lively fan atmosphere and comfortable outdoor spaces, it’s the perfect place to cheer on the national team.
