Here’s a taste of the film and TV fare Sony Pictures has in store for 2024.

Madame Web 

Genre: Superhero/Psychological thriller  
Release date: February 16, 2024 
 

"Meanwhile, in another universe..." In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing's most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures, if they can all survive a deadly present. 
 
The film also stars Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott.  

Directed by SJ Clarkson. Screenplay by Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, Claire Parker, and SJ Clarkson. Story by Kerem Sanga, Matt Sazama, and Burk Sharpless. Based on the Marvel Comics. Produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Executive producers are Adam Merims and Claire Parker.  

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artefact unleashes an evil force, ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.  

The film stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts. 

Directed by Gil Kenan. Written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan. Based on the 1984 film Ghostbusters, an Ivan Reitman film written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, produced by Jason Reitman and Jason Blumenfeld. Executive producers are Dan Aykroyd, JoAnn Perritano, Amie Karp, Eric Reich, and Erica Mills.

Ten Pound Poms is a period drama series that follows a group of British citizens who migrate to Australia after World War Two, having been promised a better house, better job prospects, and a better quality of life for just £10. But life in Australia in the 1950s is not as peachy as promised, and we follow their triumphs and pitfalls as the immigrants adapt to a new life in a new country. 

The 10th and final season of The Blacklist sees Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader, Boston Legal) returning for a closing chapter that sees the master criminal-turned-FBI informant face off against former Blacklisters looking for revenge. Tune in to M-Net to see this acclaimed, award-winning smash-hit series reach its thrilling conclusion as the world’s most dangerous criminals appear for a final showdown.
