KwaZulu-Natal, 6 October 2025: Gateway Theatre of Shopping will host the KwaZulu-Natal launch of beloved Springbok Eben Etzebeth’s autobiography with an exclusive book signing session on Friday 10 October 2025. The event will take place in the Great Hall exhibition space outside Karl Lagerfeld from 5 – 7:30 PM.

Gateway is the only shopping centre in Durban to secure a signing session with the Springbok lock, making this a rare opportunity for fans to meet one of rugby’s most celebrated players. Etzebeth has played an influential role in South Africa’s rugby success over the past decade, lifting multiple trophies and becoming a central figure in the team’s leadership.

How To Take Part

Shoppers who purchase a copy of Etzebeth’s autobiography from Exclusive Books will have the chance to meet him in person and have their book signed on the evening. Exclusive Books are the official stockists of the title, and demand is expected to be high in the lead-up to the launch.

The player’s debut autobiography is titled Unlocked and hits shelves officially from 2 October. The Afrikaans version, Ten Slotte, will be available from the end of October. The book offers a deeply personal look into his journey from his upbringing in Goodwood to his career as the most-capped Springbok and beyond. Feared by opponents and adored by his teammates, Etzebeth has long been known for his physical dominance on the field - a towering lock with unrelenting energy, intelligence, strength and skill.
