Upcoming star Daisy Arson, the 23-year-old alternative pop artist from Pretoria, is thrilled to announce the release of her brand new single, 'Just Fine.' Following the success of her debut single last August, Daisy Arson continues to enchant listeners with her unique blend of indie pop and hyper pop influences, coupled with her passion for more hardcore genres.
Daisy's fascination with outer space and the unknown universe heavily influenced the creation of 'Just Fine.' Reflecting on her inspiration, Daisy shares, "I've always had a really big curiosity for outer space. When I was young, I read a book by Jorge Cham and Daniel Whiteson, titled: 'We Have No Idea: A Guide To The Unknown Universe.' This book taught me about neutron stars, and I was captivated by the idea of something so dense that anything passing through it disintegrates. The song equates new love to be as massively exciting as two stars colliding, and if that love starts to get complicated, it's as painful and hard to escape as the inside of a neutron star."
'Just Fine' delves into the intricate dynamics of romantic relationships. Daisy explains, "Love is complex, man. It's hard for two people to negotiate how to be together and to choose peace and love every day. You've gotta work on it if you want it to work for you." The track serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges and rewards of love, wrapped in Daisy's signature twee-pop style.
Daisy's songwriting process is deeply personal and rooted in her artistic journey. "I have a little book with daisies all over it that I've had since I was about 13, filled with poems, monologues, short stories, doodles, homework, and a lot of song lyrics. When I have a cool idea, I write it down in that thick book. When I want to make a song, I go to the book first, pick something to start with, and write from there," she reveals.
The recording process for 'Just Fine' was a collaborative effort with her talented friends. "PJ Maas made this amazing instrumental and sent it to me to make a song with. Kyle Robertson took my vocal takes and mixed a really cool song out of it. Please go support their art on Instagram @ponyjonesmusic and @kyle._.robertson," Daisy adds.
Daisy Arson is not slowing down anytime soon. "I'm currently working on making an EP and an Album, but I'm just having fun and making music with my friends," she shares with excitement. Fans can look forward to more innovative and heartfelt music from this promising artist.
