Johannesburg, 30 July 2025: Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 has officially docked on South African screens, airing every Sunday at 6:10 PM on E! (DStv Channel 124) until the season finale on 16 November 2025. South African viewers have added reason to tune in: the new season spotlights two homegrown stars—Cape Town’s Ian Maclean as Bosun and Gqeberha’s Sabrina “Bri” Muller, making her debut as a stewardess.
Returning to lead the luxury yacht Mustique is fan-favourite Captain Sandy Yawn. She is joined by Chief Stew Aesha Scott—a franchise staple now navigating her journey full circle in the Mediterranean, where it all began. Elena Dubaich also makes a comeback, reprising her role from Season 6’s final charter, this time as one of the two stews.

Set In The Greek Isles, Drama Unfolds From Day One
This season is anchored in the stunning waters of Athens, Greece—a location that provides a picturesque backdrop for a voyage riddled with turbulence, both mechanical and emotional. From demanding charter guests and mismanaged provisioning to interpersonal clashes and an unprecedented technical failure, the season wastes no time in stirring the waters.
From the interior to the deck, expectations are high. Aesha balances guest expectations while managing a tense team dynamic. Chef Jono quickly learns that delivering five-star meals at sea under pressure isn’t just about flavour, but finesse. Meanwhile, the deck team battles their own learning curve, with communication breakdowns threatening the stability of every charter.

But it’s not all high-seas tension—the season ends on a poignant note as Captain Sandy surprises her partner, Leah, with an emotional moment that will leave both crew and viewers deeply moved.
