Johannesburg, South Africa – South Africa's premier instrumental trio, albinobeach, returns with their latest offering, CIRCA. Slated for release in January 2025, the EP’s lead single, 'Tower', drops on November 29 across all major streaming platforms.
Known for their evocative soundscapes and genre-defying music, albinobeach has built a reputation for intricate compositions that blend experimental rock, post-rock, and atmospheric textures. The trio—Kalin Pashaliev (bass), Ian Finch (guitars), and Garrick Van Der Tuin (drums)—weaves a sonic journey exploring themes of memory, nostalgia, and time’s passage.
Their fourth release, CIRCA follows the acclaimed THE LADDER (2020), CACOPHONIC (2015), and their 2007 self-titled debut EP. With CIRCA, albinobeach revisits their roots while exploring new sonic horizons, offering a sentimental yet innovative auditory experience.
“This EP feels profoundly sentimental,” the band shares. “It captures our collective experiences, evoking memories and emotions through sound.”
The lead single, 'Tower', enriches the soundscape with nostalgic elements, including field recordings of children at play, inviting listeners into a vivid, multi-sensory world that defies conventional instrumental music.
