Inspired by ’60s and 70s sex appeal and romance era, ChianoSky has dubbed her genre to that of “Cosmic Pop”, ("Music for the aliens. The people in the skies.") influenced by disco, pop and funk. Her second album “Inferno” has a very exciting edge to it, bringing her diverse vocal and playful talent to a complete and original level.

Her style of music can be attributed to the likes of Amy Winehouse and Ella Fitzgerald. If you like Lana Del Ray and Sade, you won't go wrong either.

ChianoSky’s pop diva yet soulful vocals will surely set your mood on fire with cool tunes and an energetic rhythm completing her second album beautifully.

About ChianoSky

One of the most accomplished South African female artists, ChianoSky is a courageous, talented household name. Growing up around her parents' genuine love for soul, jazz and rock music, inspired the singer in her, at the age of 10, which soon lead to songwriting at the age of 14. Her lucky break of discovery in a take out restaurant catapulted a 7 year strong music career where this songwriter has since been the face of major endoresment deals, fashion awards and an ever growing repertoir. ChianoSky is not just a charming, smart and beautiful songstress, but to date has become an icon in the South African entertainment industry. After her 5 time South African Music Award nominated debut album “Hungry,” she has since enjoyed success on two unique EPs, “Inferno” and “Hurricane,” opened for both Justin Bieber and Carley Rae Jepson's SA tours, all of which have been very well received and continue to elevate her star power. Having recently signed with Sony Music Africa, she once more explodes onto the scene with her take on urban music, as seen in the collaboration on Kid X's hit track 'Aunty' followed by the 1st single off her upcoming album release featuring celebrated rapper Kwesta titled 'Diamonds And Gold'. ChianoSky continues to intrigue her audience as she reinvents her sound with an Afro influence and a new perspective on local music in Africa.
